Hey everybody and welcome back to FairgroundsTV, I'm your host Peter Moeller. Today we have
Rogue and Voodoo Doughnut's new collaboration, it is the chocolate, peanut-butter and banana
ale brewed with flavor, natural flavors. Ooh. I don't know what this is gonna be all about.
I've been eying it in the store for quite some time. It's 5.3% alcohol. Nice, dark tan
head, it's a very dark beer. Barely any carbonation in the glass. Let's give it a sniff. As crazy
as this sounds, I'm getting more fruit. I'm getting like peanut butter and jelly instead
of peanut butter and bananas. I'm getting fruity, maybe a little bit of banana. Maybe
a little bit of chocolate but... let's give it a sip. That's the weirdest thing I've ever
had. I'm getting this bitterness, like a coffee bitterness on the back of my tongue. I'm getting
the chocolate, and a little bit of the peanut butter and the banana. It is really, really
bizarre to have these flavors come through in a beer. But it is quite bitter, sitting
on the back of my tongue. If you think about what they're getting at, the chocolate, the
banana, and the peanut butter, you can kind of deconstruct it on your palate and get it
there. It's not for me, it's definitely a little bit bitter, this is definitely something
you could share with a couple of people and have a little bit of fun and a little house
party or something. But it's funny you know, comes in a pink Pepto bottle, so give it a
check out and I hope you enjoy it. Cheers!
