Today on our 2007 Honda Pilot, were going to be test fitting the Thule Roof Rack System.
Well be using the Rapid Crossroad Feet, part number TH450R and the 60-inch AeroBlade Bars,
part number THARB60. We already have our bars assembled according to the instructions, and
now were ready to mount them up on top of our vehicle. First, well take the front bar
and lay it up on top of our side rails. To position the front bar, well measure from
a fixed point on our side rails to the leading edge of the crossroad foot. Were going to
make sure that this is even on both sides of the vehicle to ensure that our front load
bar is running perpendicular to our side rails. Once weve done that, we can go ahead and tighten
our front bar down. With our front bar tighten down, we can go ahead and put our rear bar
up into position. Again, well need to make sure that were overhanging evenly on the driver
side and passenger side, and that our arrow is pointed towards the center of our side
rails. However, at this time, we need to make sure that our rear bar is running parallel
to our front bar. To do this, well measure from the center of the top slot on the front
bar to the center of the top slot on the rear bar, and make sure this measurement is the
same on both sides.
