On 15th March, the Shibuya elevated station on the Tokyu Toyoko line got its final business day.
From 16th March, the Tokyu Toyoko line began to be linked directly to the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin line each other and Shibuya station relocated to a basement area.
The Shibuya elevated station was crowded with those who wanted to take photo or movie of the station, which terminated 78 years of business all the day.
On the skywalk to the tall building "Shibuya Hikarie", there were long lines of people, who wanted to get their ticket to stamp "invalidity sign".
As a good arrangement, the station staff stamped not only normal "invalidity sign" but also "Good-bye Toyoko Line Shibuya Station" and Shibuya's symbol "statue of the loyal dog Hachi-ko".
The station was filled with many passengers who taked an image with camera except on traffic line.
Totally mobilized station staffs and security officers were guiding the many passengers in prospect of congestion.
The narrow edge of each platform and exit only platform were closed by security officers to prevent falling and upheavals.
