Please find this product at http://absupply.net/ This video is to bring you a closer look at
the Pemko 321CN Door Sweep. I've got a bit of it here, that is your 321 CN sweep from
Pemko, its just a little bit of residual adhesive there. The "321" is representative of that
fact that this is an aluminum extrusion with a seal material here. The "C" means that it
is clear anodized aluminum and the "N" stands for neoprene. It is a solid strip of neoprene
which smells like you have walked into a tire shop is what this neoprene smells like. That
adhesive when this material is used to hold the neoprene onto the extrusion when it is
shipped from the factory is held on with an adhesive here. The permanent fixing is when
you use the included screws in a complementary finish and drill through the top of the neoprene
here, you predrill the screws and then it is the screws that hold the neoprene firmly
onto the door sweep extrusion. There is an image below this video showing everything
important about the item. Lets go over it now. You can see from that drawing that you
are at 1" on the height of the extrusion and then you are 15/16", so just short on 1" on
the amount of material that hangs down. A sweep like this is going to be used when people
want something considered heavier duty then a typical vinyl sweep or something where they
got a problem where they want something to be more durable. You might have, a little
harder for a rat to chew through neoprene then it is for vinyl, I suppose. I've had
people call me up and say, what is the one I need to keep scorpions out of my house.
So something a little bit tougher is what I recommend, then your basic material. And
the neoprene suits that perfectly I think. It's only drawback is that it is less flexible
because it is significantly thicker, so if you have a door closer on the door, make sure
that your installation is perfect. Any excessive binding is going to make it more difficult
to do its job. Available in several different finishes, dark bronze, gold, satin nickel
and several different lengths as well. If you have need for a custom length, by all
means let us know by ordering the next longest piece or pieces and indicate in the comment
field what length you would like for us to cut the material back to. The reasoning is
if you had to take this 36" piece and cut it down to say 32", you would eliminate that
slotted hole and the next one is all the way over here. It is nice to have that slotted
hole from the factory, because it allows you to get it vertically tailored to whatever
the sill might be doing in terms of it being level or the door and frame may not be plumb,
so you can tailor that real nice. Also when you are drilling holes in steel, or aluminum,
or wood, or fiberglass, the drill has a tendency to walk a little bit if you have not used
a center punch. The slotted holes from the factory allow you to compensate for that as
well. If you order a custom length, we are not only going to locate that slotted hole
the proper distance from the edge, but the proper center to center as well. Pemko is
a full line manufacturer of all things commercial weather stripping related, not only typical
door sweeps like this that you are going to see, but thresholds, perimeter gasketing,
material made of aluminum, stainless steel, architectural bronze or brass, and then a
very thorough offering of residential weather stripping as well. Any questions on the Pemko
321CN Aluminum and Neoprene Door Sweep or any other Pemko product, please feel free
