Today, I wanna show you how to generate signed APK in React Native
A signed APK to install on your phone or upload to CH Play :D
First, enter to the link below this video
Step 1: Generating a signing key
Go to folder 'C:\Program Files\Java\jdkx.x.x_x\bin'
There are 2 java versions in my computer, I choose one of them
Run command line and copy the code and run it
Enter require informations
Verify your informations
Re-enter password
Done step 1 :D
A new file name 'my-release-key.keystore' will create
Step 2: Setting up gradle variables
Copy file 'my-release-key.keystore' into folder 'android/app' in your project
Edit file 'android/gradle.properties'
Copy the code to the end of file
Replace '*****' with the correct keystore password (the password when you create keystore)
Step 3: Adding signing config to your app's gradle config
Edit the file 'android/app/build.gradle'
Add 'signingConfigs' below 'defaultConfig'
Add code 'signingConfig signingConfigs.release' into 'buildTypes/release'
Step 4: Generating the release APK
Open command line in your project folder and cd into folder 'android'
Run command line 'gradlew assembleRelease'
Waiting.... :D :D
This is my app
Build successful :D :D
Go to folder 'android/app/build/outputs/apk', you will see file name 'app-release.apk'
Now I will use another virtual device to test file APK
Drag and drop file APK into bluestack to install
Here it is :D :D I'll open it
