Kenmore Intuition Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner - White (31040)
Compared to other vacuums in the $150-$250 range, I think it looks pretty sleek.
The handle has a soft rubber grip. The switch allows you to select carpet and floor modes.
Its bag less. And the cup is easy to take off and put on. Its also big enough to handle a full house worth of cleaning.
All the accessories are stored on the machine and stay in place. The hose is a bit short (this gets me a bit on our long staircase). The accessories are decent and do the job. But they are not amazing or anything (though the wand is metal).
The cord is 27 feet long. At first I was stuck on getting a retractable cord model but most reviews complain about the cord getting quite hot and tend to be shorter (look for reviews on the over heat, scary).
Foot press to release the handle, it has adjustable carpet height, and even an overload reset button. Not bad as all of this gives you some flexibility.
The wheels are rubber. These are the best wheels I've seen on an upright vacuum. All of them are soft durable rubber that won't scratch hardwood floors.
The agitator or brush roll is direct drive (so no rubber belt to replace).
Might sound loud on my video but its one of the quieter vacuums I've ever had (all previous were Eureka or Hoover in the $200 range).
You can control or stop the agitator or brush roll from spinning in two ways (the switch on the handle to floor mode or by locking the handle in upright position).
The wand has excellent suction and works well with the accessories. Overall a tad bit short. you get about 6ft reach.
