What's up Philadelphia? This festival is Jay Z's vision. We've never done anything like
this before. This is a big thing and we can do big things. It's a 180 foot span, it's
the biggest I've ever seen. It's a bigger idea than just the concert. We all have the
same struggles and the same dreams. Everybody has things that they're fighting, people wanna
work, people wanna make an honest living. It's tough man, with everything how it is.
People need something to believe in. It's about me, it's about you, it's about us: it's
about Made in America. This is brilliant that you've got Run DMC, Pearl Jam. You've got
pop, rock, hip hop all on the same stage because music succeeds where music and religion fail.
I believe every human being has genius level talent. I started doing music when I was 6.
Then I realized I'm actually changing people's feelings, people's emotions, people's faces
are changing. This is some cool stuff! Skrillex is going to bring up their space ship. We
have no choice, he has to perform from the space ship.
Did you really want a lesson? Oh sure, I can't turn down a lesson. You gonna make some breakfast?
Yeah Yeah. So Jay Z called and was like "I'm your first concert in 10 years" and I'm like
woah woah. I'm really excited about this Made in America
festival. How excited are you? Is it particularly...Particularly Annoying.
After great tragedy, creativity is born. Let's kick it into overdrive boys. He plays the
guitar, he plays the drums, he fuses the turn table. This wall here between us doesn't have
to exist. It's a really good time right now, it's a
really exciting time to see where this goes.
