The best thing about BU is my course
and the fact I get to do a lot of hands on
stuff on my course
Students off our degrees have a very
good chance of going off and working in a
profession. because we train them on how to use
the latest equipment and we give them lots of
field work experience.
The facilities we have here at Bournemouth
are industry standard, the placements we
have are with key employers, influential
companies and therefore you are gettting the
experience to go out and work in industry
straight away
The employment rates are very high, we
have got more requests for people
and for positions than we actually have
got students.
I am Sophie Moore and I am from Waybridge
in Surrey and I am looking at TV production
and Public Relations
My name is Steven Umdee come from Watford
which just outside of London, I am doing Computer
Security and Forensics
I am Kamal I'm from Manchester and I am
interested in Multimedia Journalism
Denise Chapman from Bristol and I'm looking at
in Psychology.
It is just a great uni, I must admit
it is the atmosphere being here
I can deffinately see myself being here for
three to four years and enjoying myself
deffinately. before I was unsure if I had the
right knowledge already, but after seeing what
is in the course deffinately made me more
confident about choosing it.
Well I came to Bournemouth when I
younger and I just really liked it so
I may aswell go back and have a look around.
I liked the bus tour because it was kind of
different because all the open days I have
been to before I didnt get to go on a bus tour
and you know it is nice to be taken around
and shown the different places around that
arent here and not have to walk.
The university has really good facilities for
the course I want to study and has got a good
reputation as well. My favourite thing would be
I think the student life talk, because it was
held by the students of the university and I
thought it was really authentic.
With most courses here you do a third year
placement and I really like that
I did a tour of the media studios and they
looked amazing. The technology here is crazy.
Just because it is so open and there are
so many talks through out the day, you can go to
loads of talks.
It is good to get as much information as possible
on your course so you do know you are making
the right choice.
I think it's three years of your life and you
dont really want to go somewhere
like apply somewhere and hate it.
and so especially to do the campus tours
and I would be living in halls so
to know where I would be living for the first
year and stuff is really great.
You have to really visit a uni to be honest
to get a feel for what it is like
I cant imagine putting it down without
going to go and see it. I think it is vital to
go to an open day.
Bournemouth is awesome and I am glad
I applied there.
Bournemouth University is awesome.
