we'll talk about ron paul let's talk about ron paul eastern
hero happens every time you talk about ron paul well i now but i i i just
you know how this is the list that we have to talk about ron paul
has spent more than any other republican candidate
per delegate
and per vote
we are you got thirty messages
that'll help us
fifteen aircraft
the paul f goes like this ok according to his latest filing with the f_t_c_
he spent about thirty two point seven million dollars and he's received about
one million votes for a cost per boat of thirty dollars and thirty five cents
he's one of those sixty six delegates for across per delegate total of about
five hundred thousand dollars per delegate
now i know i'm gonna get email saying
i'm using delegate counts that have not yet been made official we are estimating
delegate count
but from outlooks
okay will forget about the delegate count will talk about the cost per vote
ron paul's cost per vote is thirty dollars and thirty five cents romney's
cost per vote
is sixteen dollars
just over half of the ron paul cost per vote
recant worms cost per vote is only four dollars and fifty six times and gingrich
is is eight ninety one
i think that this is i think is a legitimate story because when we talk
about fiscal conservatism and we talk about stretching money as far as you can
go and efficiency in spending
the argument can be made in correcting farmer on that if it is costing you more
than anyone else
to obtain a vote
the money or something about the campaign or your candidacy
is not really that efficient
financially
there we have given us a better might what with the counter-argument to that
um...
i mean i don't have one personally
well i think there's a few ameen
to begin with the it seems like there a cold the ron paul campaigns goal is to
get their message out oca not to win an election so
uh... even though they're all you know spending a lot of resources getting each
vote
since that's not the main cold they are getting their message out the longer
he's in the campaign in the more media coverage you get starr and what will and
that's one thing let's explore that ron paul we do have the uh... the video him
saying
when he was asked do you see yourself in the oval office he said not really
right now if we look at the numbers we know ron paul has absolutely no chance
of being the republican nominee and and by extension of being the next president
of the reason he entered the recent
uh... knowing he had no shot
unarmed saying something else either
uh... i'm saying
if we agree that the goal is to build a movement
and build support for his ideas rather than become the actual nominee or
president
then that we have to ask the question
is this way of spending money
and raising money
really the best thing
uh... wouldn't there be a better way to spend money you know that the logical
question that follows as if he's not spending the money on standard campaign
stuff like as in mailings and people on the ground cetera
what do you really be able to keep raising as much money the that i think
it's a false assumption to say he could
spend all the money on movement building in some other way creating grassroots
organizations that will work on specific issues he cares about a war whatever
else we say
he probably wouldn't be able to raise the same amount of money because he
wouldn't but a lot of people or more likely to donate to a candidate per se
rather than someone who's just movement building
and uh... uh... the strange thing is that
people were donating ivf through it i think also know full well that he has no
shot but i guess if they're supporting his movement then this is how you do
that the question is are readily to invest that money to get your message
and then by using the media and using the normal methods that you have it was
the question on the campaign sure would what do you think his supporters would
agree
that this with the way he has spent his money and the amount that he's paying
per vote and her delegate and when we do that now is really going to after the
election is over
by year after the next election
really have been the best thing to make it to perpetuate this ron paul movement
i don't know about that i'd hate to say it but we're talking about ron paul
supporters are yes i do think they believe that parable email me go to
