Ahoy thar, Legion! Today should be March 10th, and that means you have just under two days
to finish off Tethra's Doom! If you haven't completed it, started it, or are playing the
console version and want to know the how-to early, we've got you covered!
The first stage of the event takes place on Earth in the form of an upgraded Interception
mission. The enemies are only around 10 to 12, but they are extremely plentiful. You
and the rest of your team need to be able to handle taking out groups of grineer quickly
as the spawn rates are something to marvel at. Keep in mind Interception missions tend
to be hit or miss spawns to begin with, so if someone isn't defending their point you'll
quickly be swarmed in conflict from multiple directions. This ends up being a test to see
how adept the group you are in is. If you have some all stars killing everything in
sight, you won't have a problem. Too many people dying constantly and you're going to
have a bad time.
If you are able to complete the wave you will be granted two Tethra Data Fragments which
you need to make a key to access stage 2 of the event, as well as the bonus nightmare
mode we shan't speak of due to Rage.
It takes three data fragments to make a normal key AKA the Tethra Cipher, which means you'll
need to beat the Interception event mission at least twice. Key words being "at least"
and we'l tell you why in just a minute.
From there you can use the key and be whisked away to yet another new mission type they
are adding called: Hijack! How does a Hijack mission work? Well, if Interception missions
could be summed up with the phrase "Stand on Zee point!" then Hijack could be summed
up with 'We must push little cart!"
Indeedy-do, Hijack is the Warframe version of Goldrush. That said, they did add a few
quirks to it, namely instead of just having to stand near the core to shove it towards
the exit, you also are drained of your shields while doing so. This makes pushing the core
too long risky as your open yourself up to attacks, but it does have the nice benefit
of promoting teamwork.
The rewards are split up based on how many points you have at the end of the successful
mission, which themselves are just based on how much health the core has at completion.
Take whatever amount of health it currently has and wipe out the last number on the right.
That is how many points you'll be granted. In order to get nearly all the rewards just
complete the normal mode with over 500 points. The mighty Gorgon Wraith will be yours if
you do so, and I love me some Wraith weapons!
If you do not get over 500 points and want the Gorgon, you'll have to go back and do
more Interception missions until you have enough Tethra Data Fragments to make another
Cipher and try again.
Buuut what if you don't have a group or clan to join you? Is it soloable? If you have a
Rhino decked out in tanky mods, you can solo it in normal. I in fact did just that on my
first blind play-through of the level. If you wish to go that route, get as high shields
and iron skin as you can, along with shield recharge. I didn't go in optimised my first
time but still did okay. Push forward till shields drop, back off till full: repeat.
Again, my warframe and weapons are not forma'd or orokin'd up so if you have decent mods
you can handle this solo, but even with two it'll be cake.
Now there is a Nightmare Mode option that requires six data fragments to make a key.
Do no go in unless you have a team with you! Even if you can survive the onslaught, the
core is super squishy. You'll also have to unlock every door you come across, the levels
seem to be massive and take a few minutes just to REACH the core, and there are still
plenty of bugs in the system. In short, don't go in solo unless you have extremely tricked
out gear or a group. I was able to get over halfway solo, so a group capable of quickly
downing level 30 Bombards should handle this no problem. If you want the reward for this
mode the core needs at least 3,334 health at the time of completion.
Do that and you'll get an animated badge. Not worth the effort solo, and doesn't seem
hard enough to get in a group, but get em while you can, I guess.
Thank-you for watching, Legion! If any of this guide helped you on your quest to claim
the majestic Gorgon Wraith or shiny badge, we'd be honored if you hit Like and share
this video with your friends.
