Hey there, today I will show you how you can make a natural lip gloss
you need approximately the same ingredients and the process is similar to the process of the lip balm
you should melt in a double boiler beeswax,Shea butter, cocoa butter, oils and vitamin E
the difference is that here you need to use more oil so it will not become very thick
and you have to use castor oil, I have used this oil to make my night mascara!
this oil is the fundamental ingredient because is thick and sticky
then you need colors, you should use pigments,
any color you like, you can mix them and create your color
be careful, you can only use pigment-powder
you mustn't use colors for food because they can't color the skin and contains water, and you mustn't add water to this recipe!
in this recipe there are only butters and oils,
so don't add into a preparation water if there is no preservative!
if you want to mix water and oil-butter you need an emulsifier!
this is my pink lip gloss,
It is transparent and glossy
If you like it more colored you can add more pigment
you should put some pigment and try it, then you can add more ...
I prefer it this way, so I put a small quantity of pigment
I don't use any perfume, if you like you can use 1-2 drops of essential oil
use only a few drops of essential oils because they tastes bitter
I prefer it without perfume, it has a good perfume and tastes good for me just like it is
this is a Natural lip gloss, all my preparations are natural
there is no paraffin, no vaseline
Let's get started
put in a glass the Beeswax, add Shea butter and Cocoa Butter,
add Castor oil, Jojoba oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
I made 2 of them so I can have 2 different colors
I use fuchsia + white to make it pink
put some pigment-color and check out if you like it
stir and you can see the shade
to make the purple I use fuchsia and blue
for more intense effect you can add pigment, more pigment you add more covering it will be
check out to your hand, this is an intense purple but it is not very covering t
if you add too much powder-pigment i will become too thick!
melt in a double boiler
stir to melt beeswax and incorporate the pigments
put in the jars or in a lip balm container
use any container you have, I will recycle this one
this is one I bought from "aroma-zone" but you can find it to all raw materials stores
you can try to wash a used lip balm container but it is very difficult and I don't recommend it
although if you want to try it, you should use acetone, be careful and don't use the acetone to the sponge because it will damage it
If your lip gloss cools down you can warm it up again so you can put it into the container
use the 5ml syringe to fill up the lip balm container
you can use this method to fill up all containers with a small mouth-opening
I incline the jar to put one color to left side of the jar and let it solidify
so I can put the other color to the other side
that's why I said that you can warm it up again, so after I warm up a little bit my purple color I can add it next to the pink
