A limiter cuts off the signal of a sound after a certain threshold. Like, if it goes above,
maybe you're, maybe you have a limiter set at negative five db. What happens is, whenever
your sound goes above that, it'll cut it off. So, just maybe, it'll just play everything
up until that point, making the loudest point in your mix negative five db. So, what we're
going to do is, we're going to look at an adaptive limiter. We're going into our Inserts,
and look at Dynamics, Adaptive Limiter. We're going to go, we're going to play this and
choose a couple of different presets just to see what it's capable of.
Now, when using this plug-in, the main thing you got to worry about is the out ceiling.
The out ceiling is going to determine what your output level is. A lot of times, when
using a limiter is one of the last processes before your final mix.
