Hey everyone so in this video im going to be giving a review of the ENO Eagles Nest
Outfitters Double Nest Hammock. If you are looking to purchase the ENO hammock theres
a link to our blog in the description where you can purchase it.
Ok let get started, One of the first features I like about the eno hammock is they are incredibly
small when packaged up and light weight. When I got it I thought it was going to be really
hard to package back up into its tiny compressed shape but compared to other hammocks once
you open it for the first time its actually quite easy to package back up into the small
compact shape it came in. They come with a nice carrying bag so you can easily stuff
it back in there. The double nest hammock only weighs 20 oz and it measures 4 inches
wide by 5 inches in length when folded. This makes carrying and transporting the eno hammock
extremely easy. When I go camping I can simply attach it to the side of my backpack or throw
it in there and it essentially takes up no room at all.
When you unfold the hammock it measures about 9 feet 4inches in width by 6 feet 2 inches
in length. This I find great because it gives you plenty of room to strech out and feel
comfortbale. Other hammocks I've noticed are not as comfortable as this one. This hammock
will fit 2 people comfortably. My boyfriend and I have slept in this hammock while camping
and it was quite cossy.
Another cool feature is this hammock will actually hold up to 400 pounds. Each slap
strap or the straps that hold up your hammock will hold 200 pounds each which will equal
up to 400 pounds total. Ive noticed they are incredibly durable and you can reply on them
to hold your weight. I've never even heard of an ENO hammock breaking or ripping at all.
This is most definitely one of the most reliable hammocks on the market. I believe ENO hammocks
are made out of porous nylon so they are super durable. I've noticed that when the hammocks
get wet the water passes right through them because of the nylon so they won't get moldy
or smell or anything like that.
So to set up your hammock you would want to first pull it out of the bag it comes in and
the hammock will have a carabiner on each end of it. You would attach the first carabiner
to the slap straps or whatever suspension you are using to hold up your hammock. I've
seen some people use para cords to hold up the hammock which works just fine and they
are lighter. You would then pull it out of the bag thats attached to the hammock and
unroll it. You would then want to attach the other carabiner to the other slap strap. Once
you attach that end you are pretty much all set up and ready to sit in it.
I've used my eno hammock a 3 or 4 times now and i've washed it twice. Eagle Nest Outfitters
recommends you wash by hand or in a front end washer with cold water on delicate cycle
with a mild detergent. They also tell you not to dry your hammock in a dryer. I followed
these instructions and I have had no problems yet.
I've used this hammock in the Fall and Summer only and its a lot more comfortable than sleeping
on the ground, thats for sure. A couple of my friends own one and they say if you are
using it in the Winter you may want to use a camping pad or bed comforter on the inside
of the hammock because its gets cold at night. Thats probably one of the only negative things
about this hammock.
The single nest hammock cost about $55 before tax and the double nest hammock cost about
$65 before tax. The only difference between the two hammocks is the width.
I've owned this hammock for about 4 months now and I have had no problems with it up
to this day. None of the fabric has ripped, tarred, or stretched so thats good. The only
thing I will say about it is don't leave the hammock out in the sun or outside in general
because the sun will wear it down and may cause the fabric to become weak or rip, so
you don't want that to happen.
So thats pretty much my review guys. If you have any questions leave a comment in the
video below or visit our blog in the description to buy any of the ENO Hammocks and for more
information on them.
Thanks for watching guys, later.
