This is the story of the Beatle James Paul...
who with his band had a rock n' roll dream....
and as far as he was concerned it was just as well because.....
it has been suggested that by the time he was 18 years old he'd become a father to Michelle (his daughter) by Monique in 1960 and that he wrote the song 'Michelle' (Rubber Soul) about his eldest child.
It may be the case that his second daughter arrived in 1961 called Bettina by Erica his girlfriend in Hambourg who he obviously loved while he was there.
After Hambourg The Beatles returned to Liverpool where they were discovered (so they say) playing The Cavern...by Brian Epstein who became their manager.
It is thought that around this time Anita fell in love with James Paul and very soon became pregnant.
In 1962 The Beatles participated in a lot of radio broadcasts and by 1963 they were performing on tv regularly so that by 1964 they'd toured Sweden and were experiencing fame beyond their wildest dreams.
Sometime in 1963 James Paul is thought to have met a child actress who had come to interview The Beatles as a journalist...
and they'd fallen for each other and he had moved into her family home but for one reason or another it didn't work out.
Meanwhile Anita is believed to have given birth to her son by James Paul (Phillip Paul) in 1964...
...but James Paul was living in another world with another family.
The Beatles Manager Brian kept a tight hold on him and he had obligations to keep so by 1964 he may have had three children but lived the life of a rock n' roll star so were unable to settle down to family life.
The Beatles toured the USA and Australia and made the movie called 'A Hard Day's Night'.
He's so obviously upset here...maybe because there was conflict in his life that he couldn't cope with.
Here they are in Chiswick and by the end of 1964 they'd made their 4 th album 'Beatles for Sale'.
This was followed by the movie 'Help' and by 1966 the Beatles were awarded MBE's by the Queen. They went on to tour Japan, Germany and the USA.
In 1964 James Paul's dad married a younger woman with a daughter Ruth. Here they are one sunny day...
It has been suggested that in September of 1966 while on holiday in Vienna with Irene, his 4th child and second son Stephen John was conceived and born in the following July of '67.
Four children....two girls and two boys who (as far as we know) grew up without him. Just why this was remains a mystery because there is no grave or epitaph honouring the person who was once the greatest rock and roll star of his generation. Just what became of the man who was James Paul remains an unanswered question.
On 16/9/66 James Paul was believed to have met John and Brian in Paris and after that he seems to have disappeard from records. His son Stephen John is waiting for news
