The purpose of this video is to help you put your profile picture into your course in the
right size and to make sure that it looks not only pleasing to your eye, but is acceptable
when others are viewing it as well. In this video, we are going to use FotoFlexer. FotoFlexer
is a great photo-editing tool. It's simple to use, it's online so it's easy to access.
And best of all, it's free! First, click Upload Photo. When the FotoFlexer
box appears, you'll find that it is not only loading, but is also initializing to make
sure that the software is launched in the next window.
The next thing that you'll want to do is click upload and search your files for the picture
that you've recently taken that you would like to use. I'm going to my desktop. I've
got one image there. Double click. That photo will load into the FotoFlexer. The next thing
that you'll want to do is resize so that it is the right size for your Canvas profile.
Click Resize. You'll see a number of preset sizes. Take your mouse and select Avatar.
Instantly, your photo's been resized and is smaller and is going to appear much, much
nicer in your photo section of your profile than if you were just to load a larger photo.
The next thing we want to do is click apply. Now that your photo has been recreated and
re-sized, we want to make sure that you can save it. Click Save. Save it to your computer.
You want to save it as a jpeg or a ping if you're going to use it online in any other
services to preserve the transparency. I'm going to save mine as ping. Going to save
it to my computer. At this point, you'll want to name your photo to something you can easily
retrieve later. Canvas Profile. Save Now. Voila! Your avatar pic is done!
