Terri Fox: One of the reasons the bands work so well is that it forces blood into the hips
area, and as we age, we tend to get off balance. The semicircular canals get hard. We lose
our balance. Our bones get fragile because we don't put resistance on our body. The bands
force you to use your hips. It forces blood into there. It makes your bones strong. If
you have strong bones you got strong attachment to your muscles, tendons and ligaments. When
all of those attachments are secure. You have a stable joint and you're less likely to fall.
The bands support all of that. They give you the strength you need to keep from falling
over and breaking a hip. In the end, all of this today was functional. You can pick up
groceries in the back of the car and carry them to the house. You can bend over and pick
up your grandchild. You can go underneath a tree. These are all things that we do, movements
that we make every day and if your body isn't in functional condition, then you're bound
