Hi, I'm Tara Delloiacono-Thies
and I'm a registered dietitian and nutrition strategist at Clif Bar and Company.
and I work on making healthy products for LUNA and CLIF.
We're going to talk about the Power Curve
a healthy eating strategy to help you get through your day and perform better during your activities.
So it should really look like this ...
Not like this ...
And that's what your energy does throughout the day when you skip breakfast in the morning
and then hit it off with a cup of coffee or a donut, and then eat a really light lunch
and then power in another coffee and a latte in the afternoon.
You get these peaks and valleys of energy all day long.
That gives you that really low, tired feeling, followed by the spike and the drop.
Picture this: You start out your morning with a good, hearty breakfast.
Something really balanced and healthy - some fruit and some whole grains.
And then every 2 to 3 hours you meet that up with something else really good for you
that's a nice combination of protein, fat, carbohydrates, and nutrients.
That's eating your 3 meals and 2 to 3 small snacks.
So that strategy is really called the Power Curve.
Eating for your Power Curve to keep you going all day long with verve and energy.
Just remember, there's room to be human; you don't have to be perfect.
