It's autumn/fall.
The leaves wither and fall from the trees.
The familiar, buoyant green "changes" into new colours, into orange, brown and yellow.
Only the evergreen firs remain as usually.
The sky is often cloudy, the warm sunshine of the summer is gone,
and often a monochrome, grey light comes from the sky.
Again and again it rains and drizzles.
Also, it's getting colder and the days are getting shorter.
It's getting earlier dark and later bright. (Sunset is earlier, Sunrise later than usual)
The autumn is the season of evanescence, the warmth of the summer makes way for the grey, rainy autumn
and many plants and animals prepare for the winter.
Many people don't like the autumn. The dulled light and the weather make them depressive.
But especially children 'like' the autumn
For them, the new colours of the leaves are interesting.
They collect chestnuts and nuts or pick off the mellow apples from the trees.
