Friday, March the 22th, 2013. This Week on GOG: In case you missed it, here’s what’s new.
In environmental puzzle game "Shattered Haven," the world has ended. That may sound like a downer, but it's actually what makes this puzzle game so gripping.
With a combination of twisted and horrifying woodland animals called Grays, decaying terrain that collapses into yawning chasms,
and tools, traps and weapons that you must use to survive, this game puts you in a bad spot and then trusts in your thinking power to reason your way out.
With retro graphics, a story told via painted-style cutscenes, a level editor, and even two-player co-op, this puzzler has a lot of plusses for fans of the genre and plenty of replay value, too. Thinking caps on, everyone!
Clive Barker's Undying is considered by many to be the best first person shooter in the horror genre.
Or was it the best horror game in the shooter genre?
Whichever it is, the game delivers unforgettable moments, heart-stopping thrills, and an unnerving esoteric story of demons, restless souls, and dark rituals.
From the mind that frequently unleashed hell upon the readers and moviegoers of the world comes a game that is bound to give you a few nightmares.
Its great action and captivating narrative are well worth waking up in the middle of the night with a scream of terror.
A new action-RPG title released this week is Anodyne, a 16-bit retro-tastic adventure game that recalls the best classics of yore while adding in psychological elements and abstract environments that give the game a very modern feel.
Explore the jungles, cities, and flat-out weird environments that comprise the subconscious of Young, the game's protagonist, and do so to the atmospheric and disquieting 70-minute soundtrack.
Described by critics as "magical" and "affecting", this game is definitely one that fans of psychological tension and quirky gameplay won't want to miss.
The future looks grim in Syndicate Wars, a brilliant sequel to Bullfrog's cult cyberpunk classic.
The all-powerful Eurocorp Syndicate and the sinister Church of the New Epoch battle for domination over the world's economy and peoples' minds using every bit of technology and propaganda to ensure domination.
Take control of a squad of four cybernetically-augmented agents and spread mayhem and destruction in 30 futuristic cities.
The future has no place for ethics. Only the strongest and most merciless corporations can reach for power. Are you ready to lead one of them?
Next week's classic release is a game with a title so aggressive and violent, that they had to misspell AND abbreviate it in the box art.
And this weekend, be sure to check out our Atari! Atari promo.
You can get Master of Orion 1+2, Rollercoaster Tycoon series, Blood 1&2, and other timeless Atari classics 60% off this weekend, so don't miss out.
