Celebrating two million geocaches!
Hey, Kenny art here.
I have a geocache out in this area that I'm gonna archive.
Going to replace it with a new one.
uh... Geocaching.com is coming up on their two millionth geocache in
the next day or so.
So I thought I'd create this new one.
And have my shot at being number two million!
Anyway, going to walk out here,
set this all up.
It's going to be a mystery cache.
We are following a very
dim trail.
I can hear the ocean roaring in the background.
Yep, love scotch broom.
Lot of moss.
I actually painted a painting
called Oregon moss,
from a picture I took in this area.
Our son Matt is out here with me today.
This trail was already here. Yeah,
I suppose it's probably a deer trail.
Fifty feet.
Trying to remember where it is? Should be right here.
The old one, anyway.
Yep, it's there, just fell over is all. Where?
Right there in front of you.
The tree is laying down.
It's not all the way on the ground, but part way on the ground.
It's a little dead tree and it's got moss growing all over it.
Got it? Yep, what are you going to do with this, hang it? Yep that's going to be the idea.
That's a good branch there, that will work perfectly.
There it's going.
Excellent
Oh, don't go back up!
Now you flipped it over.
Can you reach it with that long stick you had?
Let's put some moss on it!
Why is there a moss ball up there, why is there a rope on it? Ha!
We can put some moss on it.
Ha! I don't know.
The decoy is a suspicious pile of sticks.
There's still a cache in there?
There's a note in there that the says, ha ha this isn't the cache.
Now we have to go to the final.
The final location.
We are walking to the final location.
The place I'm going to put this is about two-tenths of a mile away.
Look at the moss on this tree.
This is the area where I took the picture
and painted that
painting called Oregon moss. It's just awesome in here, isn't it?
It's like, Wow!
It's like walking on carpet.
Yeah, it is like carpet!
It's weird.
This is awesome in here.
It's actually not that hard walking in here.
Looks like the monkey is hiding.
Monkey business.
I think we're ready to go.
And that would be the final.
Ha, ha, ha!
It's wet out here and moist.
Green, mossy.
Here's a really cool looking moss.
I don't think I've seen this one before. It has really big leaves.
What you can call leaves uh... if moss can have leaves.
Yeah, I think we are coming out
above where we went in.
We're saved! We made it back!
Well, the cache is all hidden, all I got to do is go back home
and list it on geocaching.com
and hopefully I'll be really lucky and it'll be cache number two million!
We will see.
I hope you have enjoyed watching my video.
If so, leave a comment.
Thanks for watching.
See ya, around!
