Here we have another wine - Petite Arvine
It is an old grape variety from the Valais
It is an autocthone grape variety
That means it is a grape variety that only exists in the Valais
and can't be found anywhere else in the World
It is a full bodied wine and the vine produces small grapes
The vine doesn't sprout well and has small greenish grapes with a strong mineral character
The wine, as you can see has a nice yellow color to it, it has a fruity note
What is unique with Petite Arvine is the combination of minerals and a salty aftertaste
This comes from the combination of the terroir and the grape variety
which give the wine this mineral and salty taste
It is a full bodied wine that requires good location, it has a nice acidity structure
It can be enjoyed young, but being patient for a couple of years would not hurt at all.
