If you’ve never experienced close to thirteen hundred students, families, and relatives
all moving into a hand full of university housing structures at Pitt State, it should
be no surprise that it can be a little stressful. With great leadership and support Pitt State
has tried to make move in day as stress free as possible and for the families, they appreciate
the help that is provided each and every year. Kevin Stogsdill-“It’s been fantastic.
Been a great crew here to help us and found some lucky parking up close and so, sometimes
better to be lucky than good I guess, but no, it’s been great. No issues once so ever.
Very smooth.” Erica Stogsdill-“It was really nice. We had all of the move in crew
help and Dr. Scott helped us and we didn’t have a lot that we actually had to do. Carry
an iron board, that’s it.” President Scott as well as other faculty members did provide
their moving expertise during this year’s move in day and for Dr. Scott, he’s thankful
the rooms are the size they are. President Steve Scott-“Well it’s a good thing these
rooms are large, and they are, because the kids have been dragging in everything you
can image. Huge couches, cushions, clothing, stereos but most importantly flat screen televisions.
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen more flat screen televisions but you name it they’re
taking it into those rooms and a lot of moms in there right now really helping them getting
organized and really making it feel like home.” Being on campus and meeting new people has
reaffirmed for all the students that they’ve made the right decision to attend Pitt State.
Josh Lenzt-“I think it’s great you know everybody’s friendly, everybody’s helping
each other, trying to get to know each other, trying to get to know the people on your floor,
your neighbors. People help if you need it so it’s a great atmosphere.” Jose Contreras-“I
love it. I mean, the peope the atmosphere, everything, it’s great.”
