Alright, let's go over some stick angle on certain cymbals. Now you have different angles
of your stick on almost every different cymbal. Let's say the high hat is going to be, you
are going to want it to be about level with the high hat, depending on where the height
of the high hat is. Now it is going to be almost about level, maybe a little bit higher,
your butt end may be a tiny bit higher and you are going to be coming down on it with
that molar, that whip stroke that we were talking about and for the angle maybe some
crash cymbals, a splash and a crash. You are going to want to be coming down on it from
an even higher, even more of an extreme angle and you are going to maybe wanting to hit
the edge of the cymbal with the shaft of your stick creating an explosive effect. The same
goes with the crash cymbal. Now we move over here to the ride. You are going to want it
to be almost the same as the high hat so if we swing it over but it is going to be a little
bit more of at a down angle depending on the height of your ride cymbal so for this one
you want it to be attacking on a downward slope. Then you can get the full effect of
the sound of the cymbal because the cymbal is way too high and you don't want to be crashing
on your ride cymbal. It doesn't sound good, you want a good angle to attack.
