Hi my name is Chelsea Bagozzi with suburbanheresy.com and today we are doing some beauty and makeup
tips and right now we're going to do a little 70's disco makeup. In the 70's the big look
was eyeliner, blue eye shadow, really blended and really pretty so what we are going to
do is we are just going to put on some light blue eye shadow it is really simple and some
white eye liner especially down on that water line to make your eyes look a little bit bigger
and that is pretty much the whole point of the white eye liner is to make your eyes look
bigger. So I'm going to start out with a cream color base underneath the eye shadow and I'm
going to start out with white because we want her eyes to be as light as possible. So I'm
going to use the synthetic brush and I am going to apply this all across her lid
and up to her browbone.
This is going to help get her eyeshadow to stick and it is also going to keep it light
and intensify the color. I am going to use this light blue like a blue green and pack
it on my brush and then flick off all the extra and I'm just going to pack it right
on her lid, I'm not even going to brush it, I'm just going to pack it on because it will
keep it cleaner and it will keep the shadow on her lid and it will give us the most intense
color by packing it on instead of brushing it. So we have got that on the lid and then
I'm going to take that same color and I'm going to put it into that crease and I'm going
to bring it as high as I can, it is going to be a pretty thick crease and because it
is not a darker color it's not going to make her eyes look smoky or too dark. So bring
that all the way up to her browbone like that and then I'm going to highlight her browbone
with a white eye shadow and this is going to give her the appearance that her eyes are
really big and that is what the 70's were all about big everything. So we've got that
and now I'm going to apply some white silver eyeliner. I'm going to work from the outside
in with this pencil and then I'm going to take my angled brush and I'm going to dip
it in some white eye shadow and press it right on top of there. Then because she is wearing false eye lashes
that really brought out the line of the lashes and so I'm going to go over that with a little
bit of black just so that that blends in.
Open. Then I'm going to take that same eyeliner and I'm going to go underneath the eye, look
up. Then I'm going to take some of this light blue that we used before and I'm going to
bring it underneath the eye.
Close and I'm going to bring it to the inside, the inner bridge of her nose and then I'm
going to blend it out.
Open. There we have a 70's disco eye and I'm going to go ahead and copy that on the other
side.
