Best Interior Paint Roller: What are the different types of paint rollers available? Welcome
to Burning Questions. I’m Mark and that is your Burning Question for today. So you've

So you've got many different projects around the house and you're not quite sure what paint roller
you need to use? What I like to use when I'm in the field if I'm doing interior painting
job for a customer, and we are painting ceiling and walls, my go-to cover is lamb's wool cover.
There's also a new product called the microfiber roller cover. It is a nice alternative to the Lambs wool and a
little bit more cost-effective. Nobody likes having fibers from the paint roller on their
walls when they paint. So to try to avoid this, I recommend the soft woven with a shed-resistant
cover. They work fantastic. Sizes range from 4 inches up to 24 inches.
on the interior & exterior of your home. So I recommend on doors is the soft-woven
or the microfiber roller covers. But if you are going to stain the outside of your home,
like a Cedar sided-home, I generally like to use a ¾-inch nap polyester cover. You can toss it out. It really is a
cost-effective roller cover. At least you will feel better when you
throw it out because it didn’t cost too much. I also will use a 50/50 polyester
blend with lambswool. I find that these rollers work really well for repeated projects when
washed out properly. And for special areas we like to use what
we called the Whizz rollers. They are 4 to 6 inches in length and generally about the
thickness of a hot dog. It's great for hard-to-reach areas such as behind the toilet or radiator
in your older home. It's also nice to use a smaller roller handle and cover if you're
not used to painting a lot because it does not put as much stress on your hand, wrist,
and elbow as does a larger full frame and roller cover will. Thanks again for joining
us. Send in your Burning Questions and I will put them out.
