"This..."
DOM: Is that it? Please?
"...is Dom."
DOM: Ow!
"And this...
...is Heather.
In October 2013, Dom and Heather will be getting married.
And Dom will be organising the wedding."
INTERVIEWER: What's Heather going to think of that?
DOM: Er - I think she's going to sigh a lot, she's going to be worried.
I know her parents have already asked her sister to keep an eye on me
and make sure my plans aren't outrageous.
"They're right to be worried.
Dom has a history of outrageous plans,
and Heather is normally the one keeping him in check.
His proposal to Heather involved a fake cinema screening,
fifty of their friends, all of their family,
and a bouncy castle."
INTERVIEWER: What did you think of all that?
HEATHER: Well, I said yes(!)
DOM: When I tell people that I'm organising the wedding,
and Heather's not going to know anything,
and it's all going to be a big surprise,
the first thing they say is "Oh! Like 'Don't Tell The Bride'!"
INTERVIEWER: Only without the TV crew and fake drama and voiceovers.
DOM: Yeah, but then I got to thinking, there's got to be a way of taking
all this interest in the wedding, and everything about how I'm planning it,
and turning it into some money.
INTERVIEWER: Isn't this just a way to get people to pay for your wedding?
DOM: Maybe.
"What you're actually helping to fund is a slow-burning documentary
focusing on Dom planning the wedding."
DOM: I'm going to try and film about once a week.
Now, this is me talking to the camera about what we've done
and we're going to take you through everything, from selecting the best man,
taking you to see venues, things like that,
up to the actual big day itself. We're going to try and film that.
We're also going to try and livestream that,
and I don't know how we're going to get wifi to the venue I've got in mind.
The videos are only going to be available to supporters,
and remember, over the next year, you're going to know a lot more than Heather,
so whatever you do, Don't Tweet The Bride.
INTERVIEWER: You're really calling it that?
DOM: Oh yes(!)
