When you test the goalkeeper clothing, it is important that you dress yourself all correctly.
You can choose to have the protective vest inside or outside of the pants.
But if you have them on the inside it's less likely that the vest go up.
Tighten all the buckles, straps and zippers snugly so that the pants remains in a good place on the hip.
You don't want the length of the pants too long. You can slip or get caught with your pants in the
shoes after you've sat down. Sit on your knees so you can see how long they are at that point.
Nowadays, some goalkeepers like to wear only a tight vest in the goal.
But if you like to stand in a plain loose goalkeepershirt it must have the right length in the sleeves and sit quite airy and loose on the body.
It is important that the helmet fits snugly on your head. The helmet should not move very much when you have it on you.
Try to tighten the straps on the helmet if it's loose.
There are also thin caps for goalies who may be comfortable to wear between head and helmet.
