The cooperation between schools isn't rare phenomenon in Visoko.
Our intention is to say more about this habit in the next report.
The students of Madrasah „Osman ef. Redžoviæ“ visited Franciscan High School in Visoko last weekend to promote American international project in which Madrasah has been participating since 2004.
Madrasah has been participating since 2004.
Actually we came for a visit to the Franciscan High School. These students are from Madrasah and they are students of the second and the third grade.
They are participants of Access Program.
This program is organized in cooperation with The American Council in Sarajevo and The American Embassy in Sarajevo.
These students take part in this program in two year’s period and we came here to show what we do while participating in this program.
We have different assignments and we brought here small part of our curriculum what we are doing now what is related to American culture and civilization.
Drama is very specific and effective way to learn English language.
Black history month is something very important and something what can be applied in our history so we especially paid attention to this issue in February.
Actually there are always some topics like the Earth’s Day , Saint Patrick’s Day and others we are planning to do.
At the end of the school year there will be a summer camp where these students are going to participate within the period of 40 hours or 7 days
to spend time with students from other schools and to learn English through different activities.
Then we have a plan to establish an unprofitable non-governmental organization and those children, so called “alumni”,
are about to use that organization for their future projects.
The goal is to support the children’s creativity, ambitions they can accomplish, so they can make their dreams come true
in that way defining and guiding their ambitions.
Today, the students of Madrasah „Osman ef. Redžoviæ“have been here in a visit to our Grammar school and they performed one part of their program,
a presentation, played a song and performed two plays, trying to present some important facts about the history of American society, also about society in general.
They emphasized some general issues which can be implied in our society, too.
I'm glad that teachers and educators of Madrasah implemented this program successfully, that they motivated their students pretty well,
and that they,in this way, showed their talents, and that they achieved something nice and shared that with us.
We're glad that this cooperation will continue, it lasts also within the activities of educators of our schools, in cooperation with other high schools,
Grammar school and Vocational school in Visoko.
Therefore students, ours and Madrasah's and of other two schools, participate in our common projects; ecological, educational, social etc.
And, now, it's really, I mean, someone will say worth of gratitude. Of course it is something what is expected.
The whole day stay at school provides a lot for students and it is the opportunity for the teachers to get to know the students, to drill them to work together more,
to work better, to connect between each other and give us more time in any case it is easier to discover good sides and hidden talents that students have.
We are the smallest school among these three ones , I mean four different high schools in Visoko. Madrasah is much bigger then we are.
We know our students, we know how they breathe, and we mostly have good students. Our concern is that these students are motivated, that they love and want to be here.
They come in this school with huge motivation and I can see it is the same case is in Madrasah, too (what is worth of praise). We can work for well-fare of these students
and we can work for our country, too to bring up young people, decent and conscious citizens.
Within your important extra curriculum activities you have the cooperation between the students from Bosnia with the students from Germany
and now here in Franciscan High School you have guests from Italy.
You are right ,the students from Franciscan High School from Bolcana or Bocana from north Italy to be more precise south part of Italian province where people speak German language.
That Franciscan High School is practically of the same profile like ours, the difference is that they don’t have seminary ,they only have regular students.
The Curriculum is the same as ours .Their eleven students, five educators and teachers came last night to visit us and they will stay till Monday. They were participants in our classes...
And teachers came last night for a visit and will stay with us until Monday.
They were a part of the classes, for a couple of hours together with the students on English, Latin, German, and etc.
After that, we have in our plan to visit the city Visoko with them and most important places of the city and Sarajevo and try to go to Travnik.
They will continue their visit on to Mostar and over (Dalmatia) after Sunday starts their journey back to Italy.
This is just the start of the association. This is the first time that our high school is connecting with another Catholic High school from Vulcana.
We hope that this association will continue on for the good benefits of high schools
Also, we have in plan to connect with the Catholic High School in Budapest, Izburka and we also work very well with the ones in Dubrovnik and Zagreb.
I think it would be right for Visoko to be known, for everyone to know that our school is a place where everyone is welcome to join together.
We wish to have that side of our identity stand out, for Visoko Franciscan High School to be a place where the youth gathers
not only from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but from farther regions like Western European countries.
