Hi, I'm Marthiza.
Today we're going to talk about braids.
And we're going to braid on a child of the age of 3. This is for parents who have difficulties braiding their kids hair.
So we're going to braid on a child with *** coily hair.
[requirements]
wide tooth comb, rat tail comb, hair clips, spray bottle, hair cream.
[detangling]
After sectioning off the hair, I'm now going to detangle each section with a wide tooth comb.
Start at the ends of the section and comb through it to the roots.
Take your time while doing this, because *** coily hair can be very dry and brittle.
You can put a towel around the child to prevent her getting wet.
What can ease up the process is to give the child props to play with, because braiding can be time consuming.
I chose to give her a doll, but every child have their own preference.
If you notice that the hair is too dry to comb trough, you can sprit a little bit of water or any fluid mixture of choice.
This makes the hair soft and supple to make it easier to comb through.
Hold the hair firmly while detangling it to prevent hurting the child.
[moisturizing]
It's important to use a rat tail comb to be able to make neat parting.
Make sure not press the rat tail comb too *** the scalp when making the partings.
Use hair clips to put the hair that is detangled together.
After making a parting you can rub the hair and scalp with cream to nurture and moisturize it.
Before braiding i'm going to rub a leave-in concitioner in the hair. Rub it evenly through the hair. This makes it soft, hydrated and supple.
[Braiding]
Part the hair in a sqaure where you'll be starting of the braid.
Part the square in tree.
With your left hand grab the strand on de left and with your right hand grab the other two.
Hold the tree stands firmly while braiding.
Don't let them go.
Move your left index finger over the third strand on the right and bring it underneath the middle strand to your left hand.
Bring the strand in your right hand underneath the middle strand to your left hand.
Repeat this process till the braid gets longer.
When nearing the end of the braid one strand might be thinner than the others. Add hair from the other strands to the thin one.
Finish it off by twisting the end.
Try it again and hold the strands firmly.
This is the babyhair on the back. They tangle up quick, so it's important to detangle and moisturize them before braiding.
[End result]
A few cute and easy styles.
