On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Susan and this is Alex. This is Salsa Mia
at Yuka Lounge on South Beach in Miami, Florida. We’re here today to teach you mambo. Alright,
so now we’re going to work on. We already know the basics. We already know how to do
a basic turn, so now let’s also learn some footwork. Footwork is also called shines.
You do that when you’re dancing by yourself. Whenever you’re dancing with a partner and
you let go of each other, because we shine a little forward. What we’re going to do
is a shine that’s called Suzy. We’re going to go first into our basic. We’re going
to go 1, 2, 3, 5, shine and 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 5. One more time, 1, 2, 3, 5,
6, 7, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. You can do shines pretty much anytime you want as long as you’re
doing it by yourself. Please never try to do shines when you’re in the middle of a
step because it’ll get you off time. Do it when you’re dancing alone.
