So surprising! Your boss, he doesn't like you. It can be wildly insulting and very frustrating
to deal with, but here's the trick. You know when a relationship starts to sour, and the
last thing that you want to do is glom onto them and ask them, "What don't you like about
me? What is the problem here?" That kind of desperation is actually going to repel them
further, so what you need to do is just focus on your work, is to sort of back away, give
them some space. You know, do the work the best that you can, and find other alliances
within the organization, and help them to see that someone else, preferably a peer of
theirs, really appreciates you. And that will help your boss to see you in a more positive
light. But at the end of the day, you've got to focus on work. There's a difference between
being liked and respected, and in the world of work, not everybody is going to like you,
and that's going to be okay.
