What's going on everybody welcome to this third tutorial on HTML5 & CSS3. It's going
to be a good one. You know why? cause I'm wearing my lucky blue shirt baby! In this
tutorial, we are going to be taking a quick, I mean quick, this is going to be like a three
minute tutorial, on space. In this lecture we are going to be learning about two fun
things. First off, what is a single space? Secondly what is a breaking space?
So first off, before we start talking anything about spaces, you have to understand that
HTML is white space insensitive. What that means is that for anything more than one space,
it just ignores it. So if you put three spaces infront of a word, it will be "Alright, so
you put in one space". It's kinda annoying but, hey, that's how it works. Now there are
a couple of ways you can add a space infront of a word. Incase you guys don't know, a single
space is like clicking the spacebar in word or someother text editor. How you do that
is by using the I always forget the colon. That stands for non-breaking space.
The other way to do it is which is the ascii version of a space.
Next we are going to be talking about breaking spaces. Breaking spaces are like clicking
enter in word or someother text editor. Now there are a couple of ways to add a breaking
space. One is, actually if you surround the two text with p. It will already enter two
breaking spaces for you. Isin't that awesome! It is. Another way, you can specify a breaking
space with br which stands for... break! who would've thought. Alright, lets start off
by using our single space knowlege we've just learned. Just write in a paragraph with whatever
you want. I feel, "kitty cat kicks kit-kat". A whole bunch of spelling errors in that baby.
That's the way I like it though. Alright, lets make this a little bit indented by using
our then we use our and it'll be indented by two. Bam! look at that, that is beautiful right there. Next we will
use our linebreaks. Adding another paragraph is the easiest way to do it. This one will
be... barney. Look at that. Automatic linebreak. Isn't that sweet? Or you can do it manually
if you feel like doing more work that you should. Lets get rid of these. br br. I usually
add in two inbetween each paragraph. When I don't feel like putting in the paragraph
tags. Bam! see.
And, well that's it for this tutorial. I know this one is pretty short. The reason is the
next one is going to be a pretty long tutorial. So stay tune for that.
