Adding effects to master clips in Premier Pro can save you a lot of time.
Let me show you what I mean.
So I've started this project and I've added this movie file to the sequence and
I've made several cuts to it.
I really want this piece of footage to be black and white.
Now instead of adding the black and white effect to every clip in this sequence,
I can instead add it to the master.
So by bringing this clip up in the source panel and
going to the Effect Controls, I can see here that it says Master.
I can now add an effect to the master clip,
which will affect all instances of this footage in the sequence.
Now if we look at the sequence, we can see all of the clips
from this piece of footage have the black and white effect applied to it.
Indicated by this red line under the effects icon.
