David, what encouraged you to move on from Wicca, and what do you see yourself as now?
David Farrant: I moved on from Wicca in 1982, because I went through 3 Initiations
David Farrant: and I honestly believe that it had taught - and this is not meant to sound big headed - so please don't think that is what I mean -
David Farrant: it had taught me all it could.
David Farrant: I got to the stage where ... I used to have altars, an altar in my flat with all the symbolism, all the the different seasons for different incantations and different ceremonies at different times of the year.
David Farrant: I still kept the altar in my flat because I am still seeing - well I still AM seeing - I'm still involved with Wiccans and Pagans and people of that nature.
David Farrant: I kept the altar there for a long, long time because it is symbolic, and it gives other people if they come to see me, it makes them feel at home, that sort of thing.
David Farrant: Personally I was much more interested in the development of the human psyche. Human Conciousness, it became a sort of a quest
David Farrant: to understand Life, that thing which actually gave us Life
David Farrant: People kept coming up to me and saying, even in Wicca, and saying "What is death?", and to that I said
David Farrant: "Why are you are asking me that? Why aren't you asking where were we before we were born? Because if something didn't exist it couldn't come into existence"
David Farrant: And that was what I was trying to - and still am trying to - look into.
David Farrant: And it was nothing to do with Black Magic.
Tania Ahsan: That's a great note to end on,thank you very much, thanks David
