JACOB SOBOROFF: Hey, it's Jacob.
Today we've got a guy who does this for a living.
The loudest fans in the world take a vow of silence.
And Beyonce gets stripped down.
Ladies, we flawless.
This is YouTube Nation.
It's that time again.
MALE SPEAKER: Big block of cheese day.
BRADLEY WHITFORD: Big block of cheese day.
JACOB SOBOROFF: Big block of cheese day?
Yes.
The White House is teaming up with the stars of "The West
Wing" for the first virtual big block of cheese day.
MALE SPEAKER: President Andrew Jackson had 24 horses
haul a 1,400 pound block of cheese to the White House.
And then published an official invitation
for any citizen to drop by for a snack
and mingle with the president.
BRADLEY WHITFORD: How did you get this number?
JACOB SOBOROFF: Dozens of White House officials
will be answering questions live on social media and Google
Hangouts.
President Obama himself will be answering questions
in the Google Hangout this Friday.
You can ask him anything you want.
Just make a video that's a minute or less and post it
using the hashtag #askobama2014.
MIKE FALZONE: This guy's living the dream
of every little kid with a teddy bear.
The dreamer is 71-year-old Doug Seus,
and the bear is 1,100 pounds.
And there he goes just putting his whole head in his mouth
there.
MALE SPEAKER: Turning his passion into a career,
he is one of the few people in the world who
can interact with these incredible animals.
DOUG SEUS: We spend enormous hours behind the scenes.
That's the real fun of this.
Not teaching tricks, but getting into the heart and soul
of the bear.
MIKE FALZONE: Doug's been a bear trainer for almost 40 years,
and in 1990 he and his wife started the Vital Ground
Foundation, which preserves the habitats of grizzlies.
Doug's bears have been in a bunch of movies and TV,
including "Legends of the Fall," and "Game of Thrones."
While we're doing bear movies, I've
got a couple. "Bearz in the Hood,"
"The Bear of Wall Street," "Beary Potter."
I gotta write some of these down.
But if you have any good ones make
sure to leave them in the comments.
JACOB SOBOROFF: Can the world's loudest fans
remain perfectly silent for $5,000?
Coaches and players at the Seattle Youth Football League
were challenged to cheer on the Seahawks in the NFC
Championship game without making one single sound.
It's pretty incredible.
JOE BUCK: It's a free play.
Into the end zone, the pass, caught for the touchdown!
JACOB SOBOROFF: You definitely want
to see if they can hold it together to win the money,
but just watching them watch the game
is priceless in and of itself.
LINDSAY: I love you, Beyonce, I really do.
But even you don't wake up looking flawless.
And apparently the girls at Emotistyle agree.
They just released this parody of Queen B'*** song.
[MUSIC_--_BEYONCE,_"FLAWLESS"]
LINDSAY: Molly and Shamikah are Upright Citizens Brigade vets
who have been posting great videos for a little over two
years.
They are determined to start a celebration of realness
with this video.
They want everyone to post a picture of their morning face
with the hashtag #morningface.
Are you brave enough to do it?
Here's mine.
Yikes.
JACOB SOBOROFF: Janis Joplin would have been 71 last week,
and this was getting passed around on her birthday.
It is her final interview reimagined by Blankonblank.
A really great series from PBS Digital Studios
that features these rare interviews of cultural icons
set to new animations.
[MUSIC -- JANIS JOPLIN, "KOZMIC BLUES"]
MALE SPEAKER: One girl I know said, "Well,
how come she doesn't have any women in any of her groups?"
JANIS JOPLIN: You show me a good drummer and I'll hire one.
I got enough competition, man.
JACOB SOBOROFF: Hearing these influential artists
in their own words really humanizes them,
and then the animations really visualizes everything
that they're talking about.
TUPAC SHAKUR: They don't even know me no more.
They just know about the machine.
MALE SPEAKER: Is that painful for you?
TUPAC SHAKUR: Mm hmm.
Everybody wants to use me.
Everybody.
From this level to the street level.
I have no friends.
I never sleep.
I never close my eyes.
It's horrible.
JACOB SOBOROFF: I highly recommend
you dip into the Blankonblank catalog.
They have over 20 of these, with legends
from Grace Kelly to the Beastie Boys.
They say great art could turn your world upside down.
I say upside-down art could turn your world great.
Or something like that.
TIAH CARTER: We love it when you guys send us great video,
whether you find them, or in this case, you make them.
Like Aaron Kizer, a street painter from Kentucky.
He sent us a Tweet of his beautiful tribute
to Nelson Mandela he created in his own art gallery.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JACOB SOBOROFF: Now it is your turn, my friends.
Be a part of the show by making a short video telling us
about a video that you love and then post
it using the hashtag #youtubenation.
We're back tomorrow.
Until then, links are below, playlists are about to pop up,
and you know that subscribe button's ready to be clicked.
Now play us out.
Me so selfie.
