Hi. My name is Bernie Furshpan and I am the managing partner at the
Metropolitan Room,
and what i do is I take care of business day-to-day. We
book performers of a variety of genres in the tri-state area.
We bring in some big name acts from Las Vegas and California. We have late-night
burlesque,
we have comedy here every weekend,
we have
song and dance.
Many young people
don't think about going to a nightclub or a cabaret, but Pavé Life actually
introduces this to a community of people,
a younger audience that we've been seeking out for a very long time.
The thing about Pavé Life is that they save us so much work
in terms of social networking. Their access is wide and far
in that they associate and affiliate and partner with companies such as
Amazon, Google,
and other large online companies that bring in a a large volume of people to
a variety of venues
including ours and i really appreciate the fact that they do all that work for
us. It makes a big difference.
The relationship that I have with Pavé Life is that we collaborate on the calendar
of events that we have (about eighty to ninety shows a month)
and the people of Pavé Life send me the list that I approve,
and it's very simple. About ninety-five percent of the shows are open to
Pavé Life subscribers.
I noticed a change almost immediately as soon as Pavé Life posted our
programs on their schedule and their calendars.
We've gotten calls and requests for
information about some of the shows from the Pavé Life
subscribers, but Pavé Life sends us daily reports, which I really enjoy.
They send us daily reports,
we see who's coming in, they tell us who bought the tickets,
how many, it's so clear, my staff absolutely loves working with Pavé
Life because the clarity is right there. When I interact with the people
there (who are just absolutely wonderful),
they respond to me immediately,
and I love doing business with people who are attentive,
who are aware, who are responsive but also solution driven and they're always
looking for solutions to help us improve the relationship and also improve the
experience of the Pavé Life subscriber.
I believe that the well-established
companies and clubs in New York City that have been around for many many
years, who haven't really delved into the whole social networking scene could truly
benefit from this because their audience is getting old,
and they need an influx of a younger group of people and it's companies like
Pavé Life that make a huge difference because they're connected to
this
community.
