Hello, in this tutorial I show you how to make a simple and original bracelet with name
material
ruler, marker, thick plastic, you can use acetate
2 colors of thread, I will use hemp thread, scissors, 1 thin object with flat tip, I will use this brooch with flat tips and the craftingeek downloadable templates
take the plastic and trace a strip of 1 x 10 cm
in this space will fit about 9 letters
cut the strip
you should have something like this
take the thread of the color you want your letters
measure and cut 6 strips of 30 cm
take all strips by edges and fold in half
put the threads in the center of the plastic strip
and arrange for not overlap
take another color thread, this thread will be the mobile thread
drop a part of thread during the process to avoid tangling
leave aside and accommodate like this
take the tip and put it behind the plastic diagonally
hold up the threads from front and back
the thumb will hold the 6 threads and with the index hold the mobile thread
move the movil thread to entangle in the plastic
as close possible as the edge
together and without clumping
watch the other threads, it have to stay in you hands
so you understand the technique better do the same name as me "Elizabeth"
take the scripts guide and start with the "e"
each of the vertical lines are the turns that we do with the movil threads, and each horizontal line represents each thread of the base
to make the "e" letter you need to do 2 turns with the movil threads
take the threads and put them on the left side
with the mobile thread do 2 turns
lets go back to the guide, we need to make the other part of the letter, we just let the threads number1, 3, 4 and 6
so returns the threads number 2 and 5 to the plastic base
hold up them well and do 2 turns with the movil thread
you already have the "e", if you return all the threads you will see an "e"
return all threads to the plastic base
arrange them to not overlap
between each letter there is a gap of 3 laps with movil thread
to do the "L" drop all the threads and do 2 turns with the movil thread and then leave out the threads 5 and 6
remove all threads and do 2 turns with the mobile thread
return all threads except but the last two threads
do 4 turns with the mobile thread
return the threads to the plastic base and you will have the "L"
do the separation laps
to do the "I" are 2 turns with mobile thread removing all threads
do 2 with the mobile thread
then return the threads to form the letter
do the separation laps
for the "Z" in the first round, take out the threads 1, 5 and 6
remove them from the base
and do 2 turns with mobile thread
for the next round take out the threads 1, 4 and 6
so return the number 5 and take the 4
do just one turn with mobile thread
Now take the thread number 3 and 4
and do 1 turn with the mobile thread
take out the threads 1, 2 and 6
and do 2 turns with mobile thread
return all the threads and do the separation laps
to do the "A" do 2 turns with all threads, 2 turns with these here and again 2 laps with all threads
remove all threads and do 2 turns with the mobile thread
return the threads 3, 5 and 6, do 2 turns, remove all threads and do another 2 turns
do the separation laps
do the same with all the letters
remember to accommodate the threads between each letter to don´t overlap
when you finish do 8 turns as the begining
when you finish, move the mobile thread behind the bracelet and cut, it doesn´t have to be too short neither too long
flip the bracelet and put it vertically in front of you
put the excess thread under the other threads
take the flat object and insert the thread
when you finish cut the excess of the plastic
move the threads and cut the excess, as close as possible to the edge
do the same on the other side, if you have excess on the other side, cut
if you think that the plastic is very pointed, burn the edges
and you´re done
to put it on, just tie both sides of thread
remember that in a strip of 10 cm fit you can have 9 or 10 letters
ready you finished
