Sport Announcer: (crowd cheering) And that's it, Butler goes back to Indiana. Indiana here
they come. 63-56, the final.
Hi, I'm Brad Stevens. I want to thank all of you members of the Butler community for,
not only supporting us in the past, but for continuing to support us as we move on into
the future. The excitement on campus and in the community during the NCAA tournament run
was incredible and it continued to grow as we beat UTEP, Murray State, Syracuse, Kansas
State, and finally Michigan State to take us to the national championship game. I was
really proud of the way our guys played and even more so for the way they represented
Butler as they continue to be a source of pride for all of us associated with Butler
University. I've said this many times, one of the greatest things about working at Butler
is the people. It's an empowering place to work and I can tell you from being around
our student athletes it's an exceptional place to be. When you're at Butler, you see something
different, you feel something different, you know experience something unique. That's the
Butler Way. In athletics we live by the principles of the Butler Way and as our student athletes
go through their time at Butler and then move on from here, we hope those principles help
to prepare them for a life of meaning and contribution. It is our goal to continue to
provide an exceptional student athlete experience and we're committed to doing so everyday by
doing our jobs at the very best of our ability. But we need your help. Please continue to
support Butler in any way you can. Make a gift, attend an event on campus, volunteer
your time with a college or campus organization and, for alumni, join the online community,
Bulldog Nation. Thank you for being a part of the Butler community and thank you too
for all that you've done for Butler University and for everything that you'll continue to
do as we all move forward. Speaking of future, there are exciting things coming. Especially
for something near and dear to my heart, Hinkle Fieldhouse. On behalf of the entire Butler
community, Go Dawgs!
(crowd cheering, music playing) Sport Announcer: For the win, rebound Hayward
