In the previous class we learned the basic step with a forward ocho.
Today for your 5th hour of tango class we are going to learn the backward ocho, the sandwichito,
and the basic step with a change of direction.
To begin Alejandro takes a back step,
stepping back and on the side step he changes his weight to lead two backward ochos with his chest.
Then he brings me to a cross
and then we finish 6,7,8.
To do the sandwichito we begin the same
to do two backward ochos, and he stops me with his foot, makes a sandwich
and then invites me to pass over to finish the step.
Now to do the basic step with a change of direction,
we start in the same way
and at the end of the step instead of just closing we continue walking, I do a small forward ocho and then we finish.
Now using what we have learned up until now you can dance a 3-minute tango with more variety of steps and with more confidence.
