Greetings Wargamers & Players, Welcome to Miniature War, I'm Meinkopt and in this painting guide we shall see how to give color to a Ghoul King. You can find this miniature in the undead dragon box or the Terrorgheist from the Vampire Counts.
It´s a very simple miniature to paint, in this case it's with an army of ghouls and crypt horrors so shall give them a similar tone so it will mix with the group.
For the layer base we mix Castellan Green with Pallid Wych Flesh, in a proportion of 70/30 more or less.
With the base given, we add more Pallid Wych Flesh to the base mix to start givin deep and turn the skin more pallid.
We add more Pallid Wych Flesh until we get the skin tone that we liked.
For the claws, we use black for the base, I used the set of blacks from Andrea Colors, but you can use any kind of black.
For the light and the profile, we mix the black you used for the base with some gray.
For the piece of fabric that's hanging in the waist, we give a layer base with a earthy gray. I this case I used Kherni Brown.
Then we shall apply a wash with Agrax Earthshade, to finaly give a new stroke with Kherni Brown as a light.
For the eye socket, we add a little of Drakenhof Nightshade, this will help to give more depth and color to the face.
For the tongue and a little point in the eyes, we use Khorne Red for the base, with a little of light with Mephistone Red.
For the bones that carry, we used a layer base of Calthan Brown or Leather Brown from Army Painter that will be the equivalent. With the layer base given, we mix this color with Ushabti Bone to get this tone up and create the characteristic tone of the bone.
And with this our Ghoul King it´s ready to be the nightmare of the enemy troop. This is an easy and fast miniature to paint and in a few hours you will have it finished.
