Welcome to Buyspares. When the line
eventually runs out of your flymo strimmer you'll need to replace it with a new one.
Firstly make sure your strimmers switched off before you start poking around.
Now the spool lines under this cover here
So you need to remove the cover to get to it
this can be done by pressing the buttons on either side If the cover is damaged or broken
you can also get replacement ones from Buyspares.co.uk
You can then just lift the empty spool out and you can either go for the
preloaded spool line or you can reload the empty spool with the separate flymo line
The line comes in 15 metre lengths and it is a good idea to pre cut some sections
of about five meters in preparation you need to start the reloading
in the top section of the spool
push the line in a few centimetres just before you start winding it up
wind the line in the direction of the arrows and make sure its wound as tightly as
possible.
to enable it to feedthrough properly when you use the strimmer
when you come towards the end of the line pull it
into the notches so it doesn't come unraveled when you let go.
Now pop one of the line end through the eyelet here and the other one
through the opposite side and fix the spool on
the trimmer. Make sure you remove the bits of line
from the notches before you start trimming so it doesn't get caught up.
Now all you need to do is clip the cover back into place
and your strimmer is ready for action.
