CRAYDON BLAIR: Hi, my name is Craydon Blair from Utah Biodiesel Supply on behalf of Expert
Village. And I'm going to show you how to get the advantages out of biodiesel and talk
a little bit about the disadvantages of it. First of all, the advantages of using biodiesel
are immense. This is what it looks like. We'll put it right here and talk a little about
it. First of all, if you use biodiesel in your vehicle, it's better for the environment.
When it's used, you can get 60% less CO2 which is kinda like the greenhouse gases that causes
global warming and such. It has 80% less hydrocarbons. It has up to 90% less particulate matter that
means that nasty black smoke that normally comes out of your diesel vehicle practically
goes away. It has a higher lubricity to it, which means it is slicker. In other words,
it's going to lubricate your engine a little bit better. It's 10 times less toxic than
table salt. It's 10 times more biodegradable than table sugar. It's not regulated by hazmat.
In fact, if I was to spill this on the road, the standard procedure for getting rid of
it is to grab the garden hose and spray it off. It can be made for about a dollar a gallon,
in my home, in my garage or even on my stove. It can be run in any diesel engine unmodified.
It will blend with diesel fuel in any ratio. It's recognized by the Federal Government
and the EPA as an alternative fuel to power diesel vehicles.
