So for this little dish I am going to put four feet on it. So I've got my little lump
of clay and I am just going to divide this into four pretty equal sized pieces. Now these
feet can be little balls, they can be little points, you can even carve little shapes.
It is pretty much an endless array of things that you can do. I like the pointed feet so
I am going to roll these into little balls first and then I am going to take each one
of the little balls and I am going to hold my finger against one side to keep that side
flat and I am going to pinch it into a small cone. Now you want to leave a little bit of
flatness on the top and the bottom. This is where it is going to attach to the pot and
this is where it is going to touch the floor. It is important if you are trying to make
several feet to try to make them all similar size so that you pot will sit well on the
table. Once you have made all four of your feet you can get to connecting them to your
pot and that is what I will show you next.
