So you mentioned before, kinda being the evangelist for your game... Obviously a lot of our...
the people listening to this will be gamers, and a lot of them will be quite quiet about that fact
how would you suggest that
what it's like to own what they do and not be the kind of person that's going
"By the way I uhh..."
"sometimes play games, and I keep it quiet."
Well, I mean...
Um... I guess a big thing is like to never...
Never to like
be argumentative. Just to be like... be so happy about it
'cause it's really easy...
If someone came up to me and was like "Starcraft's a dumb game"
"Do you have no friends or something?"
Like, it's easy to be like "What are you talking about, it's great! I have friends!"
"Here, look at my facebook account! I have 600 of them!"
But...
Instead if someone's like "Ulgh, you play Starcraft?" "Dude Starcraft's such a sweet game
"Do you play"? Like, to like literally...
sidestep whatever
terrible intro they did and go straight to the heart of it and be like "dude this game is awesome, do you play?"
"It's the greatest thing ever" and to relentlessly hold that standpoint. Kickass, that is.
And also for me I will personally love trying to articulate... things
If I learn a cool card game
I want to think of the best way to describe the rule set
in like a minute
so I can tell a story about it
to someone and have them experience the same awesomeness to it
So...
I dunno, if you're a gamer, like once a day just think of some cool aspect that
happened in a game and think about how I would explain that thing to someone who's that awesome thing to someone who's never
never done it. Just sorta think and mull it over and I guarantee you like 5 or 10 minutes later
you'll have a clean way of saying it. And then find someone and go say that to them.
It's just a stranger, push him down.
"Have you played Resident Evil 4?" Freak them out...
Here's why it's good.
