In animal welfare news, a collaborative endeavor in Scotland helps corn bunting birds find
safe habitat on farmland. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) in the
nation has worked closely with farmers near the Inverness Airport. Their goal is to ensure
that the harvesting of crops leaves sufficient grain for the birds to eat. In addition, weeds
full of seeds remain undisturbed, as food for the feathered friends. Supported by government
funding, this eco project has resulted in an increase in the number of the beautiful
birds.
Bravo, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Scotland, farmers, and Scottish government
for joining together to safeguard these lovely avian messengers. May we soon hear of such
wonderful success stories in every corner of our globe.
