To come to UWE has been a really great experience for me. I've really enjoyed my time here.
Staff support here is second to none. My work in animation now is as a direct result
of being on the course at UWE. It has made me the professional that I am
today. You get lots of opportunities to get involved
in different projects. It's a whole module, instead of exams and
coursework, it's just two weeks in Cuba. I don't know another course that takes you places
like this. The very fact that I am standing here, employed
in one of the best firms in Europe is because of the time I spent at UWE.
This is obviously the biggest lab for robotics in the UK. That's the reason I was very much
interested to do my Masters degree in robotics from UWE.
It's that “can do” attitude that, you know, for students, you know for UWE students
it's really apparent we have been working with.
The staff are amazing. That's what makes it so unique.
We were so impressed with the students in developing the bi digester to alleviate fuel
poverty in Kenya. They really look after their students, for
them to grow in confidence and to say “yeh, I want to do that role” or “yeh, I want
to get involved in this”. This is a really brilliant place to start
your career. It's amazing. We are on the forefront of scientific
discovery. Extremely happy. I am doing my dream job.
I would highly recommend studying at UWE because the level of education is amazing.
I am really glad I came to UWE because the university itself has got some really fantastic
facilities. The diversity of the course and the diversity of the lecturers. They are all
very experienced and also very knowledgeable but also approachable.
It's allowed myself to better myself as an individual.
It's a
great university. Great people here. It's been a good course for me.
It's been an amazing three years. Every day/ week I come here, I learn something
new. I am happy that I made UWE my first choice.
I don't regret coming here at all. I have just really loved having three years
in Bristol. It's really equipped me for the future.
It's set me up for life. I just want to go back to my twelve year old
self and say “Dan, you did it, you are an animator”.
