>> Ross: Welcome back to SourceFed, I'm Ross Everett
>> Lee: I'm Lee Newton
>> Ross: From the late 60s to the early 70s the San Francisco Bay Area was terrorized
by the Zodiac Killer. Sending cryptic clues and taunting letters to police stations and
newspapers, the Zodiac killer's identity has never been discovered. I've made it
my life's mission and have finally solved the final puzzle as to who is the Zodiac Killer.
The answer, after almost 40 years, will be revealed TONIGHT on Rossvestigations.
ROSSVESTIGATIONS Intro- it's cut off by Lee
>> Lee: Actually, a man claiming to be the Zodiac killer confessed to one of his friends
who just came to the police with the info.
>> Ross: Are you serious?
>> Lee: Yup, apparently he confessed to being the killer back in 2001 after being diagnosed
with cirrhosis of the liver and made his friend promise to bring the information to the police
after he died.
>> Ross: But, it could not be him, right? I mean, a lot of people have confessed to
being the Zodiac killer.
>> Lee: I mean, police are skeptical but Randy Kenney, the confessed Zodiac killer's friend,
draws some pretty big connections including identifying the Zodiac's symbol not as a
crosshair but as a Celtic Cross.
>> Ross: Okay... but... did this guy know the victims?
>> Lee: Actually he did, it's another reason why police are seriously considering him as
a suspect. Turns out the guy went to high school with both of his first victims, worked
at a restaurant with the next victim, and claimed he killed the cab driver while robbing
him for drug money.
>> Ross: I'm sure there were a lot of people that could've...
>> Lee: And the military style boot print that they found at the scene of the crime
matches boots that were available to him as his father worked on Mare Island and would
have had access to this type of boot, not to mention that he briefly worked at a Military
Surplus store in Vallejo.
>> Ross: But... motive...
>> Lee: The friend says he did it because he had a bad breakup with the girl which would
explain the targeting of couples.
>> Ross: But how do you explain the killer's strange absence between June 1971 and 1973?
>> Lee: The confessed killer joined the army and was stationed in Germany during those
dates. Why, how did you explain it?
>> Ross: He was sleepy.
>> Lee: Sleepy? So he just stopped killing and sending letters.
>> Ross: Sleepy.
>> Lee: I don't think so. It seems more logical that the actual Zodiac killer is none
other than Louie Myers!
>> Ross: Dammit! That's not who I got.
>> Lee: Who did you think it was?
>> Ross: Joe Bereta.
>> Lee: Joe wasn't even alive yet when these murders were happening.
>> Ross: You're stupid.
>> Lee: What do you guys think, does it matter who the Zodiac killer is after all this time
or has too much time passed? Let us know in the comments below. Don't forget to like
