hey guys today I am starting a new branch for my channel of lego reviews and I am starting
with the set 76011 it is from the super heroes dc category and it is Manbat attack now first
off I should probably talk about the Minifigures .erm for the set you have the standard black
Batman however he does have an updated cowl piece that has only previously appeared in
the Bat Jetski set I believe which was a promotional polybag. He comes with a Batarang it's supposed
to be that there's only one included with the set but in case you lose it there's another
one so there is technically 2 included, um the other minifigures here are Nightwing,
here um I love the Minifigure I love Nightwing I think it's a really cool Minifigure my only
problem with it is that I feel like they should have made a blue Nightwing and they just went
straight ahead with a New 52 one and I bet that they never make another Nightwing again
probably. Because those kinds of things always happen to me. So I love the Minifigure I just
think it's a real shame that they probably won't make one with the blue outfit instead
of the red outfit but it is still a great Minifigure. Anyway onto the next one now Manbat
is one of my favourite villains, and I love that he's finally been made in LEGO form,
Shame that it's kinda so similar to those weird bat things that were with the Monster
Fighters range, erm what I do like however is the trousers, the traditional dark blue
trousers, like in the first episode of The Animated Series. uh the wings are nicely poseable,
and erm, I do like that there is in fact a double sided head, cause he has his normal
sneery face, but if you turn it over there's a slightly terrified face like he's thrown
one of his dynamite thingies and it's bounced back at him. Now the only problem I have with
this is Man-bat is very, he's a beast, basically, so I don't understand why such an animal would've
would have dynamite at his disposal and that seems a little advanced for him, um other
than that it is a great Minifigure, um what I do like about this however, is that you
can fly him around quite convincingly, um now I didn't show you but Nightwing also has
an alternate face, cause he has his normal smiley one and a more angry, serious one.
Now Batman does have a double sided face but it's the same as in all the other sets. Now
onto the vehicles. There is the Bat-Copter, here, there's a little spotlight on the bottom
that you can shift up and down there is a rotor that spins that isn't fully in the camera
shot, it goes forwards and back nicely on the wheels, these flick missiles you can spin
them around and press them out, now these engines, I don't think they're supposed to
turn but they do which can be quite annoying sometimes because they end up turning when
you tap them, um now there is a tail rotor that can spin and there's also a bat-fin on
the end, if you look round the other side there is a little orange dot and these are
all really cool features. One of the great things is that there is in fact a winch and
you can turn that goes down, and then you can pull it back up. it's a nice feature,
there's no real point, I would have loved to have seen something that that hook could
hook onto, on top of the Nightwing glider, because that way if Manbat, if Manbat rips
off one of the wings, you could then attach the hook to the glider and pull Nightwing
back up to safety, now, for some reason this won't shut, (high pitched) I like the fact
that you can actually fit the Nightwing glider onto the Bat-Copter, now this isn't something
that is advertised on the box at any point, but it is something that I figured out and
something that I think is a really cool thing. and I will (inaudibly high) I'll be able to
show you in a minute . . . . . . CLOSE, close! . . . . . now I don't know why this (back
to normal) won't close at the moment but it does close, um, I'll fix that at some point,
now I'm just taking this away for a moment, now the Nightwing glider, I have actually
edited it just a tiny bit, and erm, I have, made it look like, this! Now, just clipping
him on. Now I thought this just looked really cool, and erm, it, I gave it a more aerodynamic
shape, and the grappling hooks are off to the side, so if it was gliding around the
city, it could fire this outwards and swing around a building, um, the engines are at
at the bottom and they're facing so that they push him that way, but if you think about
something swiping in and hitting it there, it will end up doing that, and if it did that
and then it could stop the engines, and they'd go off again, so that . . . . . Sorry about
the jumpcut guys, camera died, I know typical huh? I was previously talking about how I
have modified this glider um, it has a more aerodynamic shape now, but um, I am gonna
switch it back to normal so um, yeah, I uh, guess I'm just going to end up doing some
editing speed-upy thing so yeah, enjoy. (lot's of squeaking( extra high-pitched squeak))
okay here guys sorry about another jumpcut, camera died again, this camera is really bad,
um I will get a new camera, don't worry about that er, yeah, I have fixed the glider, but
I said earlier that the glider could in fact fit on the back of the Bat-Copter . . . . Another
jumpcut, sorry, I am desperately trying to save my camera from the brink of death, all
you can do with this is just fit it on there like that, you can see it sits in there nicely
and you can detach it at the end, now I'm going to have to end the video here, before
the camera dies again so um, bye guys see you next time.
