How to Change a Cab Cadet Lawn Tractor Spark Plug
Hi, I am Mike Blitz, Service Manager at Weingartz in Ann Arbor. One
of the most important things of maintaining a good running engine is
to replace the spark plugs probably at least once a year, at least check
them. And this particular unit the spark plugs are very easy to change
and I like to demonstrate how to do that right now. This is a twin
cylinder cooler engine, it has the spark plug on both sides, am just
going to show you on one side the other side you will do the same
thing.
Move the spark plug wire and you will notice that you need is a 5/8
deep well socket and it helps to have a universal scrabble assembly on
your ranch with an extension. Loosen the spark plug all the way and it
sent down on its side grab it on the end, get a couple more turns.
Pick on the end, stick it into the hole, turn it to the left to make sure that
it starts to thread in probably but it tightens to the right when you
make sure that you have it inn threads properly because you do not
want to cross thread it . Start tightening by hand as far as you can go
till it stops. But your socket back on , tighten all the way down and
when it buttons up, give it just little extra snug , turn right there, put
the spark plug wire back on. Clean spark plug to make sure your
engine is running strong and healthy for many years.
