We are going over how to take measurements to have a custom dress made. We're going over
the shoulder measurements right now. And the second measurement we're going to go over
is from shoulder to shoulder on the back portion. The back of your shoulders tend to be one
to two inches broader than the front of your shoulders. So you do need to take both measurements,
not just the one. When you're taking this measurement, you can either use the seam where
your, if you got a nice fitting shirt that you like where you got movement with your
arms. You can take it from seam to seam on the back or like we said on the other for
the other measurement, where the shoulder starts arcing down at the top, you want to
take the measurement directly below that. So you'll go from one side to the other. On
Melissa, she's an inch wider in the back than she is in the front. This will make sure that
we got enough fabric on the dress back here so that if we're fitting sleeve on it, you'll
be able to move properly. A lot times when you have a dress that you can't move your
arms on it's because there's not enough fabric back here to do so. To allow you to move.
